Highways deserted and 50 000+ without power in Manitoba after two days of winter storm

It's been two days of brutal winter storm conditions across southern Manitoba with over 50cm of snowfall reported in some areas. Below is from Manitoba 511, showing almost all major highways closed as of 9:50pm CDT:

Some customers across Manitoba have been without power for 24hrs and Manitoba Hydro is saying power might not be restored until Sunday morning.
